WATCH | ECU City is coming soon

With just six months until ECU City opens to students and staff, the concept designs of some of the world-class teaching, learning, performance and technology spaces are now revealed.

ECU City will be home to the School of Business and Law, creative humanities programs from the School of Arts and Humanities, including the WA Screen and Media Academy, the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), technology and cyber security programs from the School of Science, and Kurongkurl Katitjin – the University’s Centre for Indigenous Australian Education and Research.

The 11-super-level campus will feature:
·        Six public performance venues and two performance capable rehearsal venues, as home to more than 300 WAAPA performances a year.
·        Technology enabled business and law facilities, including a Moot Court, digital smart lab and industry engagement space.
·        Motion capture, film and broadcast media production studios.
·        Creative and visual arts spaces and workshops.
·        Public gallery, Piano Salon and dynamic and immersive entry foyer.

The $853m ECU City Campus is part of the $1.8 billion Perth City Deal, and is a collaboration between the Australian Government, Western Australian Government and Edith Cowan University to deliver Perth’s first fully comprehensive, inner-city university.
