From concept to reality – ECU City is coming to life

Recent construction progress at ECU City demonstrates just how closely the campus replicates the concept designs

Façade works are nearing completion and internal fit-out continues to progress at the state-of-the-art campus in the heart of the Perth CBD.

The unique golden hue - a hallmark of the iconic design – is on show along Wellington Street. With its distinctive cantilever overlooking the bustling commercial precinct of Perth, this side of the campus will house state-of-the-art business and law, technology and innovation facilities.

From semester one, 2026, ECU City will be home to the University’s Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), the School of Business and Law, creative humanities programs from the School of Arts and Humanities, emerging technology and cyber security programs from the School of Science, and Kurongkurl Katitjin – the University’s Centre for Indigenous Australian Education and Research.
