ECU City reaches Practical Completion

ECU City has reached Practical Completion, paving the way for Perth’s first fully comprehensive, inner city university campus to open in semester one, 2026.

Since head contractor Multiplex began early works in 2022, we’ve seen:

• Approximately 30,000 cubic metres of low carbon concrete poured.

• More than 3,000 tonnes of structural steel installed.

• A four-storey dynamic screen fitted in the main foyer.

• More than 2,000 custom LED lattice fixtures installed on the distinctive facade.

• Formation of eight WAAPA public performance theatres, a Moot Court, Security Operations Centre, and state-of-the-art technology, arts, and business studios, labs and workshops.

ECU City is a landmark, $853 million investment by the Australian Government, the Western Australian Government and ECU through the Perth City Deal.

With the campus opening in February 2026, students, staff and community will be welcomed into a new era of learning, creativity, innovation and engagement.
